Esta entrada está dedicada a The Elgins, un fabuloso grupo con todo el sabor de la Motown. El grupo lo formaban de Robert Fleming, Johnny Dawson, Cleo "Duke" Miller y Norbert McClean, posteriormente se les unió Saundra Mallett como vocalista, lo que fué todo un acierto.

Whitney Houston - Tribute

Nació en East Orange (Nueva Jersey, Estados Unidos)el 9 de Agosto de 1963. Consiguió 2 premios Emmy, 6 Grammys, 30 galardones Billboard y 22 premios de la música en EE UU. Durante su carrera musical vendió más de 170 millones de discos en todo el mundo. Particularmente creo que fué una de las mejores voces femeninas de la música contemporánea. Descansa en paz Whitney.

Ha muerto Whitney Houston a los 48 años, después de una vida de montaña rusa con picos gigantescos y bajadas terroríficas. A ella debo agradecer un buen puñado de emociones de las que conforman la banda sonora de mi vida. La mayoría la recuerda y recordará por el tema del guardaespaldas, a mi se me hacen más presentes otros temas que interpretó con su voz de ángel, como este magnífico dueto con Michael Jackson. Por cierto mi mujer regresó ayer de New York y me trajo como regalo el recopilatorio "Inmortal" de Jackson, curiosidades de la vida.
